Snyder Performance Horses, LLC is a family focused horse training facility conveniently located in Northern Colorado. Specializing in working cow horses, ranch roping and versatility ranch horse disciplines. We also enjoy starting colts of all breeds and disciplines.

John and Kennedy Snyder have years of diverse experience in the horse industry. The Snyders began their professional careers at the historic 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, TX. After graduating with his masters degree from Colorado State University, John was charged with the development and management of the 6666 Ranch sales fitting program. Selling on average 240 horses per year, John developed his horsemanship and marketing skills. During her undergraduate years, Kennedy spent time working for the “first family” of the reining horse industry, McQuay Stables, Inc. There she learned the basics of the reining horse industry and had the opportunity to ride along side the best in the reining horse business. Making the move to Guthrie, TX was a seamless transition for Kennedy. She began working in the breeding barn and assisting John in the sale fitting department. Picking up some odd jobs around the ranch including, social media outreach, website maintenance, sale horse consignment photography and sale production assistance.

Fast forward 8 years and The Snyders were presented with the opportunity to make the move back to colorful Colorado. John began teaching courses focusing on colt starting and horsemanship development in the Equine Science department at Colorado State University. Kennedy went back to graduate school and returned to the reining horse industry by taking an assistant training position with Guynn Training Center, LLC in Berthoud, CO. During her time with the Guynn’s she was able to hone her teaching and coaching skills by becoming a coach for the Rocky Mountain Wranglers and Berthoud Equestrian Teams. Mentoring many youth through the local and national level in both western horsemanship and reining. Finishing her masters in Animal Science, marked a turning point for the Snyders. Purchasing and developing their own facility and horse program has been many years in the making. We are thankful to all of our family, friends, and professional contacts for the support over the years and look forward to the many opportunities the future holds!
